Re: New Garmin Tracking/Shocking System

Im still running the old 220 but i understand that the alpha is still useing the same conection for the antenna. I feel that this is a week spot in the unit. When your constantly changing from your long range to your rubber ducky your going to wear out or tweak this connection quickly. I have had to ...

"Sportsmen under fire"

Sportsmen under fire and economy slowing dramatically by one group who calls themselves humane?
That’s right the so called humane society is the number one enemy of sportsmen and a big contributor to our failing economy. When you make a donation to this group they return the favor by taking away ...

Re: lever action 357.

I think the lever three fifty seven makes a great starter rifle for women and the young shooters. Low recoil economical to shoot and the feeling that your part of the wild west are hard to beat.

Personaly, if your after a pistol caliber I would bump up a step And get the forty four. Just a little ...

Idaho voters

Just a little heads up to Idaho sportsmen and women. Vote yes on hjr2 to help insure our right to hunt and fish in the future! Tell your friends family and neighbors. Many other states have already done this. Its cheap insurance that our kids will have the same opertunities that we have in the ...

Re: full size or compact truck?

[quote="YSHBHounds"]I have both full size and "compact" trucks. I have a 2001 F259 7.3L and a 1984 Toyota reg cab with a Vortec V6 instead of the stock 22R or 22RE for more power and better gas mileage.

I have considered this swap with my 93 toyota. The rice burners v six is a dog. I have drove ...

Re: your rigs MPG's when hunting?

It seems fuel mileage goes out the door once you lock it in four wheel drive. Doesnt seem to matter what your driveing. Any more I look at what vehicle has caused me the least grief and thats the winner. If I had to sell all my junky vehicles but one I would keep my dodge cummins. It has the power ...

Re: Buzz Anderson Blueticks lets hear the good and the bad

Liz, I think your best bet if your wanting the same blood would be lck or Les Mitchell. The best source would be Buzz Anderson himself. I heard
cobalt has some nice blues that would surely worth looking into. Les doesnt hunt like he used to but hes still raising dogs and building dog boxes on the ...

Re: how old of a track to be a cold noes hound

Sounds like you got a dandy. Did you get it caught? There is a lot of dogs that wont mess with a track thats more than four or five hours old. I would say you have a dang good cold trailer.

A lot of dogs that are good cold trailers have a hard time putting the hammer down when the game is jumped ...

Re: Buzz Anderson Blueticks lets hear the good and the bad

Buzz has raised some nice blues from before most of us remember. I have a bluetick that is half buzz bred and she has more determination and grit than most that I have hunted with. She works good on bear and coons. There has been many times out bear hunting when the rest of the pack quit and she ...

After market antennas for the dc 30 and 40?

I have heard some mixed reviews on these antennas. Can anybody give some honest feed back that has used these antennas? Are we better off to just give our money to garmin?
My dogs seem to have little regard in taking care of antennas while out hunting. Any comments would be appreciated.
