Re: coon hunting handguns

After many nights lugging around a rifle and having what montananative speaks of happen, I bought a pistol.
I bought a Taurus HMR revolver and was happier than a pig in shit!

I took that pistol to the range and anywhere I could shoot it. I got damn good with it and was shooting sub MOA groups ...

Had a good night!

Turned out 3 dogs. 2 old dogs and a young pup. This is the first tree and we ended up seeing 3 coon in the tree. We took 1 and left the other 2 for another run.

Myself and the pup handler had no idea there was more than 1 coon untill a coon dropped out. We kept watching the coon in the fork ...

Re: revisiting pitt bulls

I owned Chinaman and Six Bits bred game dogs. I loved the best of both breeds.

My plan was to cross the 2 and have a large time!

The hog population is creeping closer and closer to my front door. When it hits I plan to add the same lines of dogs to the yard. I wouldn't think of using anything ...

Re: feeding beef to dogs.

Ker_man I'm not saying the dogs will drink no more. They drink alot less because they do not have to.

I worm every month so I don't worry about the worm issue.

The main thing I do worry about with chicken is Salmonella. I make sure any time chicken is used the prep area, bowl and everything used ...

Re: feeding beef to dogs.

It really depends on the dog. You can't just throw down some feed and say "that amount works". I started feeding this and watched how the dogs looked and acted. I added some and took some away to achieve the result I was looking for.

I also changed up the chicken to 80/20 beef, hearts and livers ...

Re: feeding beef to dogs.

Here is a very simple formula to feeding a RAW diet. I fed this way fr a few years and loved it! Prices are going to vary so do not use this as a standard.

Food Item.............................Cost Per Meal

Raw Chicken Quarters (8 oz)................$0.290
1 Cup White Rice (8 oz ...

Re: feeding beef to dogs.

The intesine are commonly called tripe. That is the part of the cow that holds all the digestive enzymes. It is good to feed as the enzymes will aid the dog in getting the most of the feed.

Re: do people ever tell you what to do with your hounds?

I have to be careful about how I give advie because most think I'm trying to show off because of my education and it's not that at all, I just want to be helpful if I can.
