Shag, the last thing you said about dogs getting dubbed. Is very true, drifting is moving good, not swinging, and opening on what I call the high notes of the track and shifts gears everything they can as the progress the is what catches game.

Had quite a bit of experience in this with one of my main dogs. Get some some otomax or animax ointment. Clean ears first like your doing . dry well, put 3-5 drops in should do it. If it comes back in 6-12 months like mine usually did, you'll have too change feed.

Whats wrong with most today is they got away from what made them good/great! Goes for strains and breeds. Like Al said there are guys still doing it today. And can't type enough to improve on what Mike stated.
