Re: how is everyone's bear season going?
Yea Sask does seem really old school with their laws. Last time we went for WT I was asking about how many cats are around. But the old timers said they dont see them, just wolves and coyotes and feral hogs. But I always thought that would be perfect country for them to thrive in.

That is what our club has told members as well. Keep the footage OFF the internet. Share it at home with buddies. Because it was just that, youtube videos that got this started.

Re: Grizzly with hounds in BC
I know it was brought up at our local hound club meeting recently that they are looking at attacking grizz with hounds and removing the bear with hounds period. There are SOME outfitters that do not want hound hunting for bears.

Re: Leopards
Thanks to all the people for the great info! This site is a great resource and a great place for us houndsmen.
Re: Leopards
Are you look to get a Leopard hound or The original Leopard cur before the hound blood was added ? Well that is a good question. What would be the difference if any? Would one work better than the other for bear/cats? Other than that I am not sure if it would matter much as I am only concerned with...
Leopards
I have been doing alot of reading and looking around on this breed and really like what it sounds/looks like. I am just looking forward here a year or 2 but is there anybody breeding them for bear/cats in the NW? I am in the south eastern portion of BC. I am just trying to have all the research and ...

Re: Best snow tires for the hunting rig
I've got a 1/2 ton dodge that is getting new tires for the winter. I'm leaning towards BFGs Mud Terrain, but I thought I would see what you guys thought would be a good fit. My main concern is to have good traction through snow for cat hunting. If you want tires for winter driving why wouldn't you ...

Re: Female walkers
Both are from Derek. Zoey turned 2 this June and has been under over a 100 biggame trees. She runs like a cur dog head up and flying. Not much for a rig dog but starts a track well and finishs strong.[/quote] Nice that is what I like to hear. My cousin and I got two males out of his last batch here....
