Re: Few pup pics
Those are some good looking pups. That blanket back one looks the way I like but, I am not color blind. If they do what I need them to, I don't care if they are pink with green polka dots. Whats the age on those pups?

Re: Walker Dogs
That does sound like a great hunt. Mark is correct. On this side of the country the running walkers have been bred mostly for the field trial in pens. Running coyotes mostly. The nose and the hunt seems to have bred out. The pen hunters want speed and drive. There is always an exception to the rule ...

Re: Breeding. Raising, starting, culling
Perk, I have listened to my grandfather tell me stories of his dad doing the same thing. Where the dogs went, he went. Told me how he was always around the catch when it happened. Then go coon hunting all night. Tough men. My granddad told me that his dad seemed to never stop working. When he did ...

Re: Breeding. Raising, starting, culling
Scrub, I have one now that every time I am at the point of moving him, he will do show off enough that I decide to give him just a little more of a chance. Almost as if he knows he is about to get cut from the roster. The problem is he just isn't consistent with it. When he decides to do it, he can ...

Re: Breeding. Raising, starting, culling
When it comes to picking pups, undertheradar hit it right on the head. If I don't like something about a pup, chances are I never will. Onthe flip side of that, I have been guilty of giving one too much of a chance because there was something about the dog that I did like.

Re: Breeding. Raising, starting, culling
When deciding what I am going to breed I like to try to stay along the same bloodlines. I just try not to get to tightly bred. I am not afraid to try something new if I see something I like or that I think will improve things. At times though I feel like it is all an educated guess at best ...

Good unexpected Sunday run
I was doing my honey do list about ten am when my brother called and said he just saw a bear cross the road. I asked what he wanted to do and he said he was already loading dogs up. So I called my dad and one other guy, loaded dogs and got in the wind. We waited for our buddy to get there before ...

Re: mean little wv bear
Good looking pictures. We ran a bear yesterday here in eastern nc for about six hours. He would not tree or stay bayed very long. Everytime we would get close to try and get the dogs up he was gone again. No pictures this time hopefully we will get some next week. Again those are some good pics and ...

Re: Gray Foxes
i live in NC. There are several people just in my area alone and all over the state that hunt greys years round. Tend to catch majority on the ground. Have had them climb or go in a hole before. Running walkers are used mainly. During the colder months when it gets hard to run a fox we start looking ...
