Re: Barley straw for besdibg
Barley straw is the bad one to use. That is the one that can give the open sore's in the dogs mouth. The straw almost act's like a quill. You are taking a chance of this happening. It usually happens if the dog takes food in the dog house with him and eats it in there picking up the straw. JMO.

Re: expert advice
Its the one that gets the job done. Dont worry about color and breed. Find the bloodline that is treeing game in your area.Hunt with the dog before you buy it .Preferably buy itself or with few other dogs so you can tell what the dog is doing.Dont believe any of us.We all believe we are hunting wit...

Re: My Cameron/ smokey river male
I agree with Bow. It's not a cull or a none breeder. (unless you can't fix it) Every dog with a back bone will test you at one point or time. One ruff chit chat with the dog right on the spot and they are usually cured. A baby could take food out of my dogs mouths. My dogs can eat out of the same bow...

Re: John Wick trashbreaking
I use it and works the best. Hardly ever have to break dogs. They get this as soon as they are old enough to be hooked up to the chain.

Re: kennel v.s. run/trolley
All my dogs are on cable. I have had them on chain,in kennel's, and concrete pads, and i like this set up the best. In the picture the dogs chain is on a pulley on a cable. This allows them to run around a bit. The white cord that you see is electric cattle fencer. Hanging from that is the electric ...

testing my new dock
I used to swim my dogs on a pulley system across my pond to keep them in shape in the off season. The only problem with that is you need 2 people to do it.One person on each side of the pond. http://i1156.photobucket.com/albums/p565/chris1v1/assorted/101_4260-35pulley.jpg So i built myself a dock an...

Done # 755. Common guys sign this. This is our future. Don't let the Anti's win this one. Just because you may not be a Grizzly hunter does not mean this won't effect you. They take this then move on to something else. They will get to what ever you like to hunt eventually if we let them.

Re: APA breed days
I was there. We drove 17 hrs from Ontario Canada to go and was not disappointed. This was my first time. I will be putting this on my yearly calender. Met a lot of new friends. It was great meeting and talking to you and your wife Jason. Maybe we will get to hunt together sometime.
