We killed this nice Presque Isle county tom today, with a couple blueticks. I would guess him close to 30lbs, but we have not had him on a scale yet.

I am looking to buy a new Garmin, and cureous to hear some opinions on the dc30s and dc40s. I have heard that the 30s are way out performing the 40s. I am wondering if garmin has made any improvements to the 40s. What kind of range are you guys getting out of both model collars?

I am looking for a finished start dog. Would like to buy a Smokey river bred hound capable of cold trailing, and jumping his/her own bear. We have several nice young hounds well on there way to making a nice pack. We just need a older complete package hound to show them the right way.
