Fish and Game has told me yes. I think it is legal now that they classify them as a predator.

You put into a draw for the non-res hound permit. I think they only issue 70 permits a year to non res or something like that.

The dogs never leave the truck without them on. That being said I also double collar with the telemetry just to be on the safe side. I don't trust the Garmins completely due to the battery life and I don't think they are made durable enough for everyday use. I like the five second update but hate ...

Don't get me wrong I enjoy hunting by myself as well, but it can be loads of fun with others along. Plus if ya take two rigs ya got someone to pull ya out when ya get stuck. HAHA!

I will admit that I am guilty as others of looking at the garmin screen fairly often, but usually only when they have shut up for a second or if they are getting out of hearing range I look to see where they are headed and where I need to be going to keep close. They are in the same family of Mustelidae. Also includes weasels, mink, martin, fisher, otter, ferrets, and probably a few others I can't think of at the moment.

I've had good service from Lion Country the couple times I have ordered from them. For the most part I tend to stick with Boatman's. Always had great service and good luck with their products.
