if you wanting some grit with a little more brains (instead of bein suicidal ) get you a GOOD Black mouth cur you get speed enough to get out of the way but enough teeth and grit to get the job done , as far as on hogs a bulldog is the way to go

yes the hounds have a colder nose but if you get the right line of BMC you can sure make a good hound sweat and make a medium hound look bad

50-60 lb shoat vs a 20 month cur dog really aint stress testing him in my opinion IF HE DIDNT catch one that small I would frown on him . I say you keep him and see what he does in the woods ..no matter how rough or loose he is ....I alwalys ask myself when judging a dog .... was there a hog caught ...
