The Red Baron
Does anyone else think this guy needs to take a hike? This is a place to talk about hunting with hounds and to enjoy the camaraderie of other hunters not a place for the political BS that is dragging our society down. We get enough of that crap every where else there is no need for it here.

Re: Removing ID Plates
I have to remove old rivets in my saddle shop all the time, I drill them out. I'll center punch the rivet first then use a sharp drill bit about the size of the shaft. I also turn the speed of the drill down to prevent it from slipping and messing up a project.

Re: how do u know if ur running a bear

Ive been trying to hunt more lions in the dirt during the summer the past few years and have had a lot more what the heck are we chasing races than i did snow hunting. It seems to me that once I learned my dogs better they run different animals different ways ...

Re: General pictures - Gascon Saintongeois
Thank you mike. This past spring I bought a couple of pups from Chris Todd. Their coming along we'll and I have high hopes for them. They defenently have a different look to them than most of the hounds that are coon hound type dogs.

Re: General pictures - Gascon Saintongeois
Can any of you guys tell me where the goswick hounds originated from? I have a couple of them but don't know much detail about the history of them. They have some similarities to your French dogs, however I really don't know much about either of the breeds.

Re: Ursus Plotts
I had one that I really liked. He was never my best dog but was one that you could always count on to get the job done. I guess to guys who thinks he invented bear hunting they might not work but to the average joe they work just fine.

Re: This sport is dead or dying?
In my opinion all the antis have to do is set back and watch. We as hounds men are killing our own sport. We fight the DWR because they keep trying to up the number of tags they want to sell but we're the ones that pull the trigger. Groups like SFW or the mule deer foundation want all the lions dead ...

I recently got a pup that has Sampson in his blood lines a few times and have been told that he was a great reproducer. I was just curious if anyone could tell me his pedigree.

Re: Utah guys
in my experience when the lions got wiped out the coyotes were the next dominent preditor in line and their population has exploded. as a consiquense the bobcats have really suffered also.
