I think they have govt. funded trappers but no hunters. The trappers use mostly snares and cyanide guns. Hopefully I will be corrected if I'm wrong.

Gary, we caught a tom near Utopia in the 1970s that weighed 35 pounds on a feed store scale. When we skinned it we discovered that it was very full of deer meat. This was just after deer season ended and assumed it had found a dead deer. The deer meat certainly added several pounds to the weight.

Did anyone ever hunt with Ira Woods from Dilley or O.V. Secrest from Devine? I know Marvin Angermiller and J.L. Haby are dead-Ray Melton is still alive and well near Bracketville.
