Re: What do you bring to the tree?
Yea I think you nailed that one on the head some clients are harder to pack than a sorry pup up through the ledges. To bad you can't leave a coat out for them and come pick them up in the morning when they are like that. Just kidding I love being out with clients honestly, but for what goes into a ...

Re: Jeff Allen's Pepper dog
You are correct Pepper is not papered all Jeff's real old string lines were grade dogs going back to a couple old time lion hunters dogs. He has been breeding this line of dogs for 30 years or so. He also breeds some nice Nance Bred dogs which though good they are an entirely different dog.

Re: Jeff Allen's Pepper dog
Some off you worry to much and draw a few to many conclusions I am the one that posted pepper was dead reason being jeff lost him over a giant ledge searched all over for him but never could find him. Then about three weeks later he got hauled in by someone we all thought he was dead. Even though I ...

Re: Jeff Allen's Pepper dog
Don't stress it I have not seen the dog since he came back broke up. But I have been under more trees with jeff Allen than any man on earth gauranteed. I have not been on a ton of lion with pepper but definitely 20 plus. He is a solid well rounded good looking walker dog. I have also worked with ten ...

Re: Hey Dirt Hunters, a ?
My thoughts are like you Andy everytime Ive ever caught a bob on dirt it's been by fluke chance or bounce one in front of the dogs and even then it was luck. I always grew up with the notion that some conditions were hard to catch lions in but nearly impossible to catch bobs at all regularly except ...

Re: Hey Dirt Hunters, a ?
All my hunting has been done in southern Utah and northern Arizona on primarily lions. Have treed a few bobs in dirt and snow but focus on lions and catch about 60-70 percent of ours on dirt. Hunt a variety of soils and areas which all contribute to amount of scent left and how long it sticks around ...
