Re: the real deal
Yeah, Nick Redmond's Cash dog is a real deal bear dog. I'd get one from him.

Re: Nice Young Redbone Out West Needs Good Home
I believe this male is still available. Hasn't been messed with. Just 1 1/2 years old. Should make someone a good hound. I'm surprised he's still in need of a good home. http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e367/Poicephalus/Trigger2_zpse8c6a468.jpg http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e367/Poicephalus/Tri...

Nice Young Redbone Out West Needs Good Home
I'm posting this for a friend who recently relocated to Southern California for a new job and has to find a home for a nice young male (approximately 1 1/2 years old). This male should do well in a hunt or show home. He has a brother that's doing well on coons and a sister who's being hunted on lion...

Re: OW Hill's Sierra Line Returns West to Colorado
Thanks, Tom. Faith is a pretty girl. Walter and Faith's mother, Dutchess, is littermate sister to our Nitro male, who you met while you were here. Joanne, Faith and Walter's breeder, briefly owned Nitro when he was a pup but was forced to sell him when she did a relocation. She is not Nitro's breede...

Re: OW Hill's Sierra Line Returns West to Colorado
Thanks, Tom. Good to hear from you. It's been quite a summer. You've been to our place so I'm sure you realize we were in the hardest hit area. The attached photo shows how close we came to losing everything. The fire fighters made a stand and saved our place. The forest behind us is gone. Neighbors...

Re: OW Hill's Sierra Line Returns West to Colorado
What a difference seven months can make. Here's a photo of Walter taken last weekend when he was exactly nine months old. He's already a load and keeps getting bigger. Big, blocky head and jowls (note the slobber between his eyes). He'll be the biggest of our males for sure. Big bawl mouth and stead...

Re: OW Hill's Sierra Line Returns West to Colorado
It's good to hear comments about Sierra dogs from folks like you who have hunted them. Your accounts of these dogs and their ability is consistent with others who have owned this line. We're looking forward to seeing how they will do, except this time it will be lions in the Rockies rather than bear...

OW Hill's Sierra Line Returns West to Colorado
Here's our new boy, Walter, from a frozen semen litter out of GRCH 'PR' Hill's Sierra Red Vindicator, a dog that passed away some years ago. His mother, CH 'PR' Sierra Legacy Queen of Hearts, is the only living dog in his pedigree. Our sincere thanks to Joanne Marcoux for letting us have a pup from ...

Prayers for Tom Solberg
I heard last night that Tom Solberg of Wisconsin had a seriuous stroke. I'm sure he and his family could use some prayers right now. Tom has contributed greatly to the redbone breed and many people hold him and his T-Top hounds in high regard, for very good reason. There are many being used very suc...

Re: ow hill bred redbones looking for a home
I realize this thread is old, with just one recent post. If these dogs are/were OW Hill stock, they're from his Sierra line, bear dogs bred to hunt in the mountains of California long before the recent ban. Being bear dogs, they never carried hunt titles, but OW loved to show them on the bench. Fine...

Re: feeding dogs pork and venison
I've fed venison, lamb and elk, and dogs love it. It's lean and easy for them to digest. I would avoid pork altogether. It's definitely been linked to pancreatitis in dogs. Here are a few links. I usually stick to skinless chicken or lamb. http://www.ehow.com/about_5065874_signs-pancreatitis-dogs.ht...
