Re: Oregon cats
The west side will have far more cats then the East. If your just wanting to run a few and don’t mind thick brush and steep hillsides the coast range is your best bet.

Re: Anyone in Oregon
I have a leapord hound hound here in Oregon that I run on bobcats. Catahoula tend to be more stock dogs then hunting dogs unless used on pigs. What kind of advice are you looking for? Your on the coon section so my guess is that your wanting to hunt coon with your catahoula?

Re: Weyerhaeuser hunting in Oregon
Brian like I said in my original post. I don't mean to piss people off with my post. I'm sure it probably did somebody. Just hoping to get people to maybe think about what we got before pulling the trigger. I realize some guys just don't care. They will just move on to the next place when things dry...

Weyerhaeuser hunting in Oregon
Take this with a grain of salt, so to say. I guess. I don't mean to ruffle feathers but I'm sure this will. I guess I just need to vent but i really feel what I'm about to say is true. Maybe I'm just selfish but, please hold off on killing everything you tree on Weyerhaeuser permit ground! When a bo...

Any advice would be apreciated.
I will try to keep this as short as i can and still give you enough info. I have a 1 1/2 year old hound that I am having a problem with turning around and checking on me to see if I am coming. I am new to running hounds and only have the one dog right now. I live in town and do not have room for any...

Re: Just a question
Thanks guys for your replies. I left my initial post kind of veg because people tend to interpret things differently and you end up getting a wide spectrum of opinions and ideas, witch in turn makes me and others think more and learn more. The longer version of the story is this. I bought a pup last...

Just a question
This might sound weird but have any of you guys put bobcat scent on a puppy's toy? It seems like the dog would associate the scent with something it enjoys and something that is fun. It also would ingrain that scent into its brain at a young age as something to try to search for when it crosses the ...

Re: How many have run one dog?
Thanks guys for the reply its good to hear from men much more experienced than I. You take a risk every time you drop them out of the box and I believe it is are job to calculate those risks, the best we can before we open that box. We owe it to the dogs that we do are best to make that decision. I ...

How many have run one dog?
How many of you guys have run one dog on a lion and have you ever had any problems with it?
I think it would be fun to see exactly what each dog could do buy its self and would definantly show any weaknesses fairly quickly but not looking to get any dogs killed ether. Any thoughts?

Re: Southeast Oregon lion
I will see at least two to three lions every year here in Oregon while out scouting or hunting. In fact I have seen three lions from one glassing piont( one huge Tom and what looked like a large female with a one year old). If you can afford it I would by a tag, we oregonians would appreciate the he...

Need help searching for a leopard dog
I have a question for you guys that are more familiar with leopard curs than I am. First off I have never owned nor hunted with a leopard cur but in my research there personality and characteristics are exactly what i look for in a hound. Which lead me to where I'm at now, I'm looking for a leopard ...
