the old timer that taught me to hunt holds his pups back and turns them in when an older dog strikes. I would do like mike and jeff said hold one back in the box if possible then when you let them out hold their heads up and tell them to "listen" repeat it till they are paying attention to the dog ...

Thanks for your reply southern fox, I'm glad you explained how they run as well. I forgot to ask that in my post, neither one of us had a clue on how a red runs compared to a grey or a coyote

Is there anyone that runs/catches reds in steep, mountainous terrain, is it even possible to catch them in areas that are heavily wooded with lots of brush and cover. if you are interested in the leopards maybe try getting a hold of nick riley i know someone who got a dog from him. i went with him to pick the dog up nick is a really nice guy and honest and he has some nice dogs that tree lions and bobcats

Thanks for the advice, that is kinda why I asked I think he trees a little loose and has let the fox come out the past two times the same thing has happened he is treed for close to am hour and I couldn't locate him in time to get to the tree before he leaves out of there running again, it has also ...
