Look at those big wide chest cavities on those blue ticks.
Heavy skulls and good lookin feet. I can't see aside pic but his blood tells me enough.
When someone asks what are the features of a big game hound just show them a pic of a blue tick that is put togther like that one.

Me exaggerate not a chance.
Some one made a post a while back about speed.
A hound can only move scent at a given pace.
Some faster than others.
Hot tracks can be winded and a high speed run ensues.
But a fast dog can only move the track so fast depending on the scent and other variable wind ...

It won't work with just the collar on and your tongue on his nose you also have to reach around and complete the circiut if you know what I mean.

I come from the big sky were men are men and the sheep are nervous.
Lived in CdA for a few years. then moved up by Twin lakes.
then back to lewistown.
I do miss the bear huntin up by priest and down on the St.Joe
Too many people for me now.

Why did the bear take a dump on the road?

Runin logging roads in North Idaho 10 years ago.
We would ask the question why does the bear shit on the road.
My guess is in that part of the country it was the only flat spot??????

Thousands of timbered country and the bears wait for a logging road to dump.

If you cross to Sugar or Hammer I would buy a pup or two in a heart beat.
You got some good info and some good blood if you put the right blue
in the mix they should hunt.
