Thanks for the answers so far I will for sure make obediance a primary objective of mine. It will work out all right he will be around 5-8 months when I have snow here. So we will see how it goes. Anymore tips would be great help.

How do you train your pups?
I am in east tennessee and have been wanting to train a bobcat dog for a while now but my newest prospect was killed. Now in a few weeks when i get my new pup i want to make sure i dont make as many mistakes. I figured why not learn from people who have good cat dogs.

i feel if your hunting in a thick area they are more likely to climb down aLOT....but if your hunting when there isnt as much woods i feel like they dont come down as often

I take my blazer 21 volt belt light, coon squall, phone, camera, extra batteries, lighter,starter kindling, bullets, tracker classic reciever and collar, Garmin and collar, leatherman multi tool, toilet papaer, water, snacks, lead with a coupler, adn a few other small things

Well first step is your going to need to figure out what you want him to hunt? That way so you know how to train him. I would ask around to see what everyone else hunts in Arizona, because i couldnt tell you im in tennessee.

Ya it is one of my buddies dog. From what ive seen coming out of this pup though, i think he would rather hunt alone. He goes quicker and sometimes ranges farther by himself.
