Japanese Mini Truck

Hi all, Have been looking at getting a side x side and came across a gentleman that uses one of these Japanese mini trucks for his ranch. They are narrower than a ranger, and have a larger box, locking diff, 5 speed manual etc. Heat and A/C in the cab and seating for 2. Just wondered if anyone else ...

Found it on Carbon TV. If you have an iphone you can download the Carbon TV app for free and can watch some (not all) of the Carnivore TV episodes.

How many of u have a crazy cascade Bluetick

Friend of mine has a couple. They both turned out to be good dogs, one being exceptionally amazing. If it wasn't for her breaking her shoulder as a puppy from falling off the front porch, she would be an all star for sure. Still an amazing cat dog, but due to the injury she is a bit slow for bear ( ...

Re: how is everyone's bear season going?

Sask_matty, where are you running those bears? In Sask? I thought they didnt have any seasons for dogs. Just curious is all. Great pics, thanks for sharing. A good buddy and I chase bear in BC. Moving to Ontario this fall so can't wait for the bear season there. Few Lynx in ON as well as millions o...

Re: Cold coons

Up in SK we have almost zero luck when the temp stays cold, however even when it is -40F and warms up to zero or +5F during the day, that is enough of a temperature swing to get the coons moving. Interesting that some members noted they hold up in brush more so in the cold than in trees, and I would...

Re: Finally got one on a power pole

IMG_20150924_221718.jpg I often catch coons in the same spot... that's what happens on the Canadian Prairies... chasing coons out of corn (on irrigation) or canola up hydro poles (no trees for 20-30 miles). Where are you catching these guys? Certainly on 3 phase power lines you have to be careful t...

Re: best coon light

I just bought a cap light from Star Hunting Lights in Kentucky. Battery on the back of the cap. I am used to a hard cap but they make them in soft cap as well. I am thoroughly impressed. I have to charge the dog collars (DC40, DC50 and T5) before the light needs to be charged (just to give you an id...

Re: Hunting Rig Tires

I stick with yokohama geolander ATS... my 4X4ing buddies all laugh as they tell me they are SUV tires, but they have gotten me through some tought stuff, and hold up amazingly on gravel. I drive about 10% off road, 40% hwy and 50% gravel, even when hunting most of our roads up here I would still cal...

Re: feeders

Take PVC pipe, put a Y-bottom on one end and place a 2-3 foot long straight pipe on one of the Y ends. Block off the bottom of the Y, such that you have a Y with one long top. You can then fill the long end of the Y with corn/cat food/ whatever bait you want to use. The coons will be the only animal...

Re: Coon in the snow/cold

Redbarn, we track and trail coons around barn sites and grain bags as soon as it warms up. To me it seems that as long as it warms up (even if from -40 to -10) coons will come out and look for food but going the other way (40 down to 0) they will stay denned up and you will just get a 'nice' walk wi...

Re: DOES ANY CANADIAN HAVE A DC50

I have both DC50 and a DC40 collars. Both work decent. The DC50 has about twice the range of the DC40 up here. What lights are showing on the collar when you turn it on?

Re: need winter dog box ideas?

John, I live in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and we often get -40 degree weather. My box is simply made out of a 2X4 frame, 1/2 inch plywood that is sealed around all the edges, and then I have 2" of blue Styrofoam on the inside. The box is 4' X 4' X 30" tall. It fits between the wheel wells on...
