Re: Raising lion quotas will save the deer - don't cha know....
I live in the heart of the Lion country for Southeastern Montana. We have one of the larger quotas, at 25 cats. Five to ten years ago I could go out most any morning and cut a track with in 10 miles of my house sometimes 2 tracks. Over the past few years I have noticed that it is getting harder to ...

Re: Monster Cat killed near Wenatchee?
I was in wenatchee once, that really doesn't look like the country I remember. Definatly looks like costal forest though. Picture looks a little "improvised" to me, but what the hell do I know.

Re: Raising lion quotas will save the deer - don't cha know....
Kind of interesting, the outfitter that was quoted in the arcticle is also a houndsman. The state documented him turning in a sub adult tom and sub adult female at the begining of the season. The female, the outfitter harvested himself. Also, I understand that this outfitter originates from the ...

Re: How Big To Take Down An Elk?
The only way you going to find out is go catch the cat and see what's in the tree!!!
All I could say is your probably not going to end up with a 20 # kitten in the tree unless of course momma is hanging around somewhere close.
Good Luck!!

Re: FWP Gives permission to kill 3 yearlings
Its too bad the female had to die. Its the middle of winter, times are tough, her kittens were definatly doomed as well. I think that if left to fend for themselves, they are the ones that end up in someones yard looking for an easy meal and giving everyone the idea that the lions are overpopulated ...

Re: Not all kittens get stretched
Went out this morning, found a female and female only track, decided to turn loose.
On my way into the tree I could here the dogs treeing. About that time i come across the track that I was sure I turned out on heading out of the canyon with no hound tracks on it? Dogs are still treeing ahead of ...

Re: Dead Lion
Ok, Here's the deal. I caught this cat early last spring. I was helping a local bioligist get a few collars out. At the time we aged this cat as an adult, very young though. Her teeth showed no sign of staining. She was fitted with a GPS collar made by ATS. The collar was set up to fall off in nine ...

Re: Dead Lion
She wasn't an old cat, adult, but possibly only around three years old. The way it looks I'm not certain she has ever had a litter of kittens.

I would be a little leary about getting support from LOBO unless you have killed every cat you've had in a tree>>>>>
It's a terrible thing but spotsmens groups and hounsmen do not see eye to eye.

Casualty of the tranq and collar program?
I'm pretty certain not the result of tranq/ collar program gone bad. Hopefully them researchers wouldn't proceed to eat out the a%s after they killed the cat, lets hope not anyway! :o
On a more serious note the cat actually packed the collar with her ...
