Re: New Mexico Zone A GMU 2&7
Just speaking for my area. It's not the newcomers that refuse to back off the killing of females. It's a select few greedy outfitters with no regard for other hunters or future of Lion hunting. They are very mistaken if they think they can butt heads and win against the increasing liberals, especial...

Re: mule bit
I kind of go with Slowandeasy on this one. As a rule, the answer to your mule problems or successes aren't hanging the the tack shed. The Harsha can be very harsh if not used correctly.

They would have to get out of the truck to keep a steady reading on mine, steep and deep with very few roads where I hunt. Besides, if you're not trespass'n it won't matter if they know where you are anyway. Hell, I'll let'm come along if they can keep up. ha Kenny

Re: Dog Boots
Try www.ruffwear.com . They have some great boots that hold up and stay on pretty good. I have a hound with a bad foot and I run a boot on him. It's kept him hunting for a couple years insted of retirement.

Hi bad moon, I use the horse ivermectin also, have for years since heart worm is so prevelent in this area. My Vet did say however, you han certainly over do the Ivermectin and it will cause blindness so you sure don't want to over the perscribed amount per/body weight too much. Just my 2 cents. Kenny

Re: Hunting pads off ?
I feel you pain Ken, I have had my share of pad problems this last year too. For the healing I've been using Vetricyn like they advertised on TV for horses as suggested by my good friend AZlongears/Andy and tuff foot for toughening the pads. The healing was incredible and I think the tuff foothelps ...

Re: colorado public land
Also when coming around Canon you'll want to bring a good BLM map. The dog boxes flock in here by the dozen on a fresh snow, most of them not knowing where the boundries are and end up on private ground. Consequently it's not the hound freindly country it used to be. Fremont County has become a huge...

I've hunted with Randy several times. Second to none in ability and work ethic imo. You wont hear alot from him on here. He lets his hounds do the talking. He's pounded that dirt there in AZ all his life. He's not a bad cook either. Kenny
