Re: Bobcat area?
Find you some briar patches that have grown up in clear cut areas or strip mine areas. Walk our dirt logging roads or skidder trails and look for cat tracks and rabbit tracks. Lots of rats, mice and rabbits equals cats. I find that cats like to work clear cuts when they are full of briars on the ...

Re: over running the track
I am interested in how one could correct over running a track. Seems like a dog is going to run a track the way it is programed genetically. Genetics and experience equal what the dog is going to be.

What is the biggest coon you have treed?
My leopard cur (McDill's Pride x Clarks Ann) treed a 21 pound coon here in Tennessee. This is by far the biggest Tennessee coon that I have treed. I have treed bigger coons when I lived in Maine and Colorado. I am from Tennessee have hunted here since the 1960's and this is the biggest that I have ...

Trigg
I have a female registered Trigg that was born November of 2010. Got her to try and coon hunt her. She casts out good, swims like a duck, smart, built really good, black and tan, minds really good and homes well. My coon dog is silent. When I take her with open dogs, she is right there. I don't want ...

Re: keeping cat s up at night
I lived in Washington State years ago and cat hunted. I live in Tennessee. Cats bail more here. Hard for people out West to understand but they do. Why? Got some ideas. Big difference between tall western cedar and spreading hardwood. When mine miss a cat, and tree. They stay there. They are a lot ...
