Re: Ranger vs can am defender vs Honda pioneer
Thanks for the insight. Anyone have a dog box in the bed of the Honda's with the folding seats? If so, does it work fine? Thank you

Ranger vs can am defender vs Honda pioneer
Anybody have any opinions on which utv is best for a hunting rig? I would be hauling 5 dogs at times. Overall reliability, and stability with a dog box in back concern me the most. Thanks

Re: General questions
Thought I'd update...I didn't really try bear much this summer. I am still interested in trying in the future, but I did have a few good yote chases that got started by just roading the dogs in front of the truck. They stuck w them better than I anticipated and I did more summer running than I ever ...

Re: General questions
Thanks again for the replies. They are extremely helpful. Not color blind, to answer your question, yote is open all year and u can run them w dogs any time dog training is open. I have not heard of many guys running yote in the summer months and the ones that do, run at night. I have a hard time be...

Re: General questions
Thanks for the response. Yea I know it's a very basic and broad question, but I'm just looking for experiences guys have had running bear. Frequency of injuries, etc. I started running yotes and cats bout 6 yrs ago and I was never really interested in running bear, but now that my original dog is ov...

General questions
I was thinking about giving the dogs a shot at running a few bear this season. I've never ran bear but have tossed the idea around for a year or 2. My job allows me to have all winter off, so I run a lot of yotes and some cats here in Michigan, and am looking for something to keep them going more ye...

Re: Bobcat Dog book on YouTube
I appreciate the effort you are putting forth. I listened for about ten minutes because that's all I had time for, but I enjoyed it and am going to continue listening as I get free time. I do think short segments would be easier for people to listen in full, then go to the next one when time allows,...

Re: Getting started on coon hunting
Nice! Good looking dogs too. I'm glad you are out there getting it done with the dogs and including the wife and kids. What's the breeding behind those dogs if you don't mind me asking? Not many redbones around in my area, that I've ran into anyway.

Re: New guy "blues"
I think you kind of answered your own question...You say you guys drive along and either look for a fresh snow track or a coyote standing out in a field to get the dogs started...These dogs have learned that's how they are supposed to hunt. If that's how you hunt with them every time, that is how th...

Re: New guy "blues"
I don't know much about running dogs as I use tree hounds for coyote but maybe the guys you hunt with have obedience trained them to stay close so they are easy to handle...or the dogs have learned that the handler finds the track then puts them on it because that's what they are used to. I have hea...
