I hunted with a guy that used one. It gets great gas milagebut it was kind of tight for more than two dogs.He sold his dogs and is thinking he might sell his samuri.If you are intrested send me a PM and I will get you his# if you like

When the dogs do a good job the size of the cat doesnt matter but Iwould rather let a cat go and catch him again another time .To me it's all about making dogs before I run out of money looking for tracks :(

Most ranchers want the lions dead but I dont know verry many who have ever lost any livestock.Coyotes and bears also take a big toll on fawns and elk calves.Personally Ithink the wolves are the biggest probablem with deer and elk numbers. Most years I catch between 25 and 30 lions .My best year was 36.With the price of fuel it is getting hard to afford hunting that much.

I brought a walker dog from ohio to montana that had been running coon for a few years and ran him on lions .He was as good on lions as any of the other dogs we used.But I dont think it would be a bad idea to give them a little scent training but if they already run and tree they shouldnt need much ...

Thank guys .Everything everybody said made sense.Ihave a full brother to this dog and he is doing great.I have been tring to convince this guy I hunt with to stick with it because the dog was showing a lot of potential.

From what I have seen I think it varies from one dog to the next. I have seen where we have put three different dogs on one track one dog acts like there is no scent the other one tries to move the track but struggles but third dog gets on it and moves it out with very little trouble.

I hunt mostly in snow but I hunt some on bare ground but the hardest hunting I have seen for my dogs was running game on bare ground that is frozen hard as a rock.I don't know how my dogs would do on dry ground.Iwold really like to try it sometime.

Sounds like tou have dogs with the same blood lines as one of my kemmer dogs the sire of my dogs was pretty good on lions and bobcats he could run every day.The one I have has sort of arough gait he is apretty good dog but he gets pretty worn out on long races.he has caught around 65 lions and a few...
