Re: Vermont Bears?

We had a good year too but with only two experienced dogs and the rest pups, it's a little harder, but when the corn came around it got easier and we treed up a bunch and then after the corn when we were roading and walking the dogs it got harder again cause they would wind alot and we couldn't get ...

Re: Vermont Bears?

Well we been going to the beech trees and we havent run anything from them yet and we don't have any acorns or oak trees big enough to do anything with, we are probably done for the season cause of deer season and people shooting dogs but maybe we'll get some treed up before then cause we usually hu...

Re: Vermont Bears?

We can't bait bears here it's illegal so we just are running the roads rigging them. The one that we ran this past weekend was just pure luck that we came across it on the road and we didn't even get it.

I'm begining to wonder what a bear is too

Re: Vermont Bears?

Well we didn't do all that well this weekend. Saturday we started one that crossed a road and we thought it was a sow with cubs. The dogs ended up in quite a few swamps by like 10:00. And the Garmin stopped working and it started to snow, the beeper told us that they were treed. So we went in and we...

What do you think?- Bear Weight

We treed this one during the training season and we figured him to be in the 200's, and the thing that sucks is it was 3 days till the shooting season and we couldn't find him at all during the whole season. He had treed up within 10 min. so we figured the dogs trashed on coon out of the cornfield s...

Vermont Bears?

Anybody know were the bears are hiding cause it's been real slow since the corns been cut and we can't seem to find very many. Last weekend we had nothing until i took the dogs up on the four-wheeler mountain trails and we struck one out of the beech trees and then it tagged a tree and ran down the ...

Re: Wild Pork

We have tried to feed our dogs bear when we get them but they never touch it, it don't matter if it's cooked or raw they won't eat it. I didn't think that there was a dog out there that wouldn't like meat but none of ours will eat anything from the bears we get.
