never hunted coon during the day sounds fun though

depends on what hes huntin with it. I like the 25-06 or 243 for antelope and deer. 22 for plinken around but hard to beat that 17 hmr. Hits harder the bullets usually disinagrate and can take down a coyote. Hope it helps.

My buddy has a dog just like that. We ran her all summer on coon w/ my dogs and could never get her fired up. She's go n on a year and a half now and she's just start n to get into it. I think every dogs different she just needed time

I think they learn more when their on there own and ur helpen em. Just my opinion.

You'll have your ups and downs but at the end it's all worth it.
