Re: tenderfeet?
I wouldn't say that I hunt my dogs to the point of having to worry about foot soreness, obviously because it is not an issue, and for a reason. I can say that I condition the same as I always have and hunt as much as i always have and did have foot problems with walkers, where I don't have foot prob...

Re: tenderfeet?
GOOD LORD! Sure glad I don't have to entertain these gimmicks to keep my dogs hunting. I don't care what anyone says, theres no doubt in my mind that some breeds have better feet than others. take a poll, what breed of dog are these guys that are coating, soaking, babying there dogs feet with some s...

Re: Does anybody have any info or tips on becoming a Guide,
getting an outfitters licesne is not easy in MT. Getting a place to hunt is also not easy. Guide schools are for those that can't help themselves. If yo uhave to have smeone teach you how to become a guide, you are probably in the wrong business. Anyone with aq pulse can get a guides license, pay yo...

Re: MONTANA SPORTMEN FOR FISH AND WILDLIFE
What about mule deer? Yeah that's right we are drawing for those too. You are drawing for mule deer because the entire east side of the bitterrroot is a trophy unit, and it is not hurting in the mule deer dept one stinkin bit. your elk have pretty much been eaten by wolves tho, that is true. Seems ...

Re: MONTANA SPORTMEN FOR FISH AND WILDLIFE
lions and bears are gonna have enough of an uphill battle. They are gonna get thrown in with the wolves every chance that comes around. Don't need any more organizations than we already have trying to put the hurt on them. http://missoulian.com/news/local/rocky-mountain-elk-foundation-offers-to-fina...

Re: MONTANA SPORTMEN FOR FISH AND WILDLIFE
Boy you sure know alot about the SFW.... Makes me really think yer a wolf in sheeps clothing. Far as who is going to take care of the wolf problem, I'll put my money on the stockgrowers for having the weight to get something done, just need other organizations to keep them from throwing lions under ...

Re: MONTANA SPORTMEN FOR FISH AND WILDLIFE
the wolf issue is getting handled without this crap organization that you keep trying to push! Using the wolf scare tactic to get people to join is a planned move and it's not reality. We will be trapping, electronic calling and multiple bag limits on wolves before you know it without the help of SF...

Re: Lion Hunting Plotts?
I hunted with Cap Atwood in 69' and 70' he had all types of dogs but his Plotts were the best out of old Sarge they cold cold trail and out think any hound. I tried some Plotts out here for bear but they were different dogs, bred for grit[ what every that is] all that I could see that they were goo...

Re: turning loose on a wounded lion?
http://i39.tinypic.com/29qnqxd.jpg $4000 and 3 surguries for one dog and another dog killed. That was the first and last time I let dogs go after a wounded lion. It couldn't climb and it was big enough that the dogs couldn't get it stretched when they got to it, shot through the ankles and couldn't...

Re: turning loose on a wounded lion?
Larry you are wrong about the spot and stalk. It is legal all season as long as you do not shoot a female when the sub quote has been filled. I would be interested to know how to determine the sex of a lion looking at me from the hillside. I may be wrong, not sure. Would like to see it in writing o...

Re: turning loose on a wounded lion?
the spot and stalk season has been over for quite a while in MT if that is where this took place, he's gonna need to give someones name with hounds when he checks it in to be legal........ he started it without dogs, he can finish it without dogs.

Re: Couple of lion questions?
larry, would you like to take advantage of this moment to tell me sorry and that you were so wrong? I think that would be in order after you proved once again how much you actually know about lions.   look at the head, rear end, and track. how can you possably get tom out of any of ...

Re: Couple of lion questions?
it's getting deep now! My money goes on all of you are proving my point. You all think you know what it is but the guy that claims to have caught and recognize the ear notch, he's probably wrong cause you are looking at a pic on the net and you can tell so much more from that, ha ha!!!! I'd love to ...
