Trouble sleeping
You guys that used to hunt but can't anymore have trouble sleeping? Man I don't know if it's that time of year or what but here lately Ive been absolutely struggling to get any kind of decent sleep. I lay awake at night reminisce about turning out dogs. I sure do miss the feeling of cracking open th...

Re: world championship catdog competion
Mr Red Barron, I really wish you would stop trying to turn these various threads into a place of political debate. There is a section on this web site for that vary thing. It's labeled under the politics forum. If there's a time and a place for politics in this web site that will no doubt be your be...

Re: Tracking blood or wounded deer
Yeah man, it's pretty easy and most dogs with half a brain can be taught. The trick is to be sure to let your dog know that there is a big difference between chasing a healthy deer and tracking a wounded deer. I assume you laika's run silent so it might be a little harder to catch umm trashing on de...

Re: Getting started on coon hunting
Coonslayer101, I feel as though your name and mouth are throwing out conflicting ideas. I mean I half to assume that your dogs are without a doubt perfect and at the top of the game. Because passing judgment on another mans ability under any less of a circumstance would prove your just an asshole. A...

Re: Not a bobcat but an ocelot
I've heard they can put up quite the race. I think it was in that book "the American lion hunter" where I had read about a story dealing with an ocelots. These hound hunter were down south on a jaguar hunt and there hounds cut an ocelot track. By the way it was described it sounded as thou...

Re: Trapping on Public Land
Whether you agree with trapping or not i thinks it in a houndsman's best interest to stay in the trappers good graces. There are a heck of a lot of more people who agree with trapping then agree with hound hunting, just saying. The second you try and pull there right to public lands your gonna make ...

Re: What's your shooting iron ?
Oh man, now that's a question with a lot of moving parts. That argument is as older then chevy vs ford. Back in the day when I was a little guy running a trap line from a huffy I had a savage .22 long rifle 20 gage over and under. It was an awesome gun that worked great for dang near any situation. ...

Re: electric cars
I agree with you, electricity is about the first thing to go when a natural disaster hits and it's a pain to produce when it does go out. Hey I'm not advocating for gas or solar or ethanol or anything for that matter. All have there advantages and disadvantages there time and place. But what I am tr...

Wait, I think I misinterpreted that question. So let me rephrase,
David, if you want a jar of shine I would gladly give you one. No charge at. It's the least I could do.

Re: electric cars
Haha, well David based on my math I guess a fella could make him self a quart jar for about 0.37 cents. If he was to buy all the stuff. But if a quart jar is all you want then heck, just go cut some cattail root or pine bark and use that instead of corn.

Re: electric cars
Yeah, what I'm wondering is what it would cost to put a gallon of gas into my fuel tank or a load of coal in my truck bed if the government wasn't involved. When I was digging coal way back in the day out in Wyoming I remember doing the math at the cost of my fuel and my wages vs the amount of coal ...

Re: electric cars
Just wondering but do you by chance know the numbers involved with a gallon of gas or a ton of coal minus the subsidies? I've been trying to located them figures for awhile now not having much luck.
