Re: Gps collars legal in CA now?
Yes. It has already passed thru and just has a final hearing in February, maybe April, I do believe, which would mean as of the new Regs on July 1st it will be legal.

Re: I'm stumped
Sounds like maybe a pinched nerve in his back or a bad disk. Some arthritis in his spine may have flared up. Maybe even in his hips. Especially if he's just sitting around in the cold now and not being worked. But not having any pain reception in his legs would indicate nerve damage to me.

Re: Wild Clover Bred Walker Stud in Northern California
Been a while since I posted. Still got the ol' man. He turned 6 in July. His last litter is almost 6 months and already cranking. Gamble has also had the pleasure of being hunted on Bear, Lion and Bobcat and has done well all summer. He's here for the fall and winter for Fox and Coon season.

Re: Do dogs lose nose power with age?
I have noticed as an old dog ages they tend to get jealous. Sounds ridiculous, but its true. They'd rather just fool around and take their time doing what they are doing themself than pack up and go be a useful part of the race. Really strong independent lead dog types tend to be the worst than pack...

Re: How long do your dogs live?
I think if people were being more mindful of the health of their dogs and some of the hereditary diseases and conditions that are passed around, we would get to where you are aiming for. But like I said, many, many dogs either die from accident or are culled before these things surface. And a LOT mo...

Re: How long do your dogs live?
I have always had real good success with longevity. I hunt hard, but my dogs are also well taken care of coming from the Veterinary background. If they need something, it gets done, and they aren't left to just "suffer" on their own. But at the same time, I do believe in survival of the fi...

Re: 2015 NOR-CAL TREEDOG UKC EVENTS & RESULTS
Our last event of the year is in the books. Great weather, a decent turn out, and everything went pretty smoothly. We'll likely have a meeting at some point later this year to decide the fate of the club for next year. MAY 16, 2015 - UKC EVENT RESULTS BENCH SHOW - Judge Tiny Santana - 8 entries Leop...

Re: Coonhounds dont always turn out?
I believe Bryce said it best. To have a top dog both good genetics and good training have to be present, you can have one without the other, and it won't ever amount to much.

Re: Shipping semen
I'm sure it would be a lot tougher to do internationally, my need to go frozen semen. But from everything I have read and been told by the biggest Reproduction Center here is with extender the semen can live 10-14 days. But the minimum is 72 hours. I definitely wouldn't try it in the summer months, ...

Re: Shipping semen
Who said it doesn't last? I sent it on a Thursday morning, it was supposed to be overnight. UPS did not deliver it until Saturday afternoon. They checked the sample and the motility was excellent and they AI'd her and she had 6 pups. This was also in the summer time when it was warm out, I worried i...

Re: Shipping semen
I did it once. I bought a packaged deal from ICSB ( http://www.ik9sb.com/Puppy_Pak.asp ) Followed all the instructions. I shipped it overnight thru UPS from North Central CA to Northern OR. He had a Vet do the AI (which you could probably do yourself if you order the supplies and read up) Ended up w...
