Re: Historic South TX Bobcat & Lion Hunters
Gentlemen Thanks for your help! Dad was asked about them by a friend who is writing a book about Old TX Bobcat Hunters. He had heard stories about both but they were before his time. Mr. Leonard the Marshall you mentioned if he was Stationed in Austin I probably knew him, a great guy who looked like...

KMIZELL, Sure good to hear from you. Glad you have had some good running! Had hoped to have Poon & Lump here this spring to Sample some of Poon's "Black Power" however Dads Chemo has put that off a while. You all had one of the best Bobcat hunters and Catdog trainers in the country bac...

Re: trigg
Mr. Butch Unfortunatly very few Tree bred dogs can handle our Big, Bad, Wet country that the Short tails like! Over the years Dad has found a few that could hang for the multi-hour races that we have here and across the Southern Piney Woods. I know I am going to hear from folks that are going to say...

Re: Big Game B&Ts in the western US
First off let me start with Potlickers are not My cup of Tea, not since I quit Coon hunting when I gaduated from High School in 1974. Now then, we have a neighbor who moved here from New Mexico last year who has some B&T that are the real deal. George Hobbs, (send a PM and I will give his cell#)...

Mr. Buddy, This from a absolute newby and with that same expensive opinion already so eloquiently expressed (probably worthless). This is the BEST website for Cathunters, Long Tailed or Short, out there! I spend lots of time on Speeddog because we know lots of those guys back east and hunt more like...

Historic South TX Bobcat & Lion Hunters
Do any of you Hunters have any information on a pair of brothers(Possibly the Snow Brothers, oldest maybe named Luther) from S. TX who hunted Bobcats & Lions across S. TX, Mexico, and the Western US. This would have been in the 1st half of the 20th century, mainly the 30's and 40's. Possibly bas...

Derek, Monday night ahead of the storms we had a hunt to make up for all the bad ones last week! We took only one old dog (Rita), two 2yr olds, and six 1yr old puppies. Struck the first Cat cold off the box and trailed him over an hr before jumping him. He turned out to be one of our Popup regulars ...

Re: trigg
coastalrangecathunter, Here in the Southeastern Piney woods we have a hard time getting our Running Walker hounds to tree up big trees. Dad starts his puppies out in Western OK where most trees are small and all will generally tree. Sometimes a cat will tree in a tall Cottonwood but in Winter with n...
