All of our dogs run bear and coon. Of course in the mountains were we hit there ain't too many coons, but really once they get older we really try to push them harder on bear. Well We talked about that this mornin huntin. We've been sittin there talkin for 10 minutes and move and had a blow the top of the box strike 20 yards down the road that the other dogs never hit. It's all in the wind there.

Not sayin that switching to garmin is wrong bcuz the garmins are great. But we still run both on dogs here bcuz them garmins lose connection so much and the beep beeps have longer range and battery life. Have had dogs with a garmin and no beep beep and the collars go dead and just like that, dogs go...

I always carry like a hoodie or jacket of some sort in case you get caught out and the weather changes. Extra socks in case you get your feet wet bcuz that makes for a miserable day. Flash light in case you're stuck out after dark.
