Attachments now availible

Postby Buddyw » Tue Dec 30, 2008 7:12 am

Image Upload Feature is enabled.

File size needs to be less than 1 Mb

For folks that have files Like most Digital Camera's take, they are much larger than we need for the Website,

I recomend installing a program like this on your computer, and it will easily create files that are not Huge.

Once you install this program on your computer, All You need to do is
#1 Right click you mouse on the image you want to upload
#2 Select the VSO Resizer (click Continue)
#3 select what size you want to save it as (profile). I recomend 640X480
#4 Click OK

Then it will automatically create a new file that will work.

Upload your new file.

Or you can still use a hosting company like tinypic as before.

not being the most computer savvy person in the world I have a couple of questions.
1; Has anyone had any problems with their pc after downloading the VSO
2; Will it then always automatically resize my photos - even when I don't want it to? Meaning like the next time I upload photos off my camera will it grab them up and resize them or do I always have the option of choosing for myself?

Liz, I was on the phone with Buddy today and he told me about this program. I need to be able to change a bunch of files from JPG to jpg (lowercase) and I went ahead and downloaded and tried it.

It works for what I needed it to work for.

I didn't download it for the resize feature as I have several programs that already do that.

I went ahead and tested all the features in this program anyways.

You choose when you want to change your files. That is your option. So you do not have to worry about your pics being resized when you do not want them resized.

A cool thing it can also do is if you go to the folder and want all the pics resized at the same time, hit the CTRL button and the A key in the folder and it will highlight all images.

Then right click on one of the highlighted images and then choose the VSO Image Resizer in the menu. Now you can resize all those pics at the same time instead of individually.

You can also change the file ext. of the images the same way without rezing the image.

I think Buckshot answered this, But no You choose what you want.

I keep all my orignal pictures, But when it comes to the web It's much better and faster and friendly to have smaller images.

I've ran it on two machines and haven't seen any problems. It's free, But I'm sure you can find programs that you can buy that do this same thing also.

Once you start learning to Resize Images this Quick you'll never go back! I'm going to try and put together an instruction page with pictures and everything to match the forum.. Just got too many things going on right now.

Got it figured out, it was actually pretty simple. Used it to put a pic in a classified.
