Enlarged Prostate

Good morning!

one of my dogs got blocked up from eating too much bone, tried everything (rubber gloves) but after a week had to take him to the vet to cut it out. They said his prostate was enlarged and pressing on the colon, of course advised I neuter him. Dog is 5 years old and never bred. Vet said no cancer, but is the enlarged prostate something to worry about?

I wouldn’t mind freezing some of his fry sauce for future use, does the old boy need to get his nut once in a while?
