Postby 250plot » Fri Dec 26, 2014 6:00 pm

i just bought a cheap cobra 19 ultra 3 cb radio and think it puts out 4 watts and i read something some where that only over 5 watts messes with your handheld gps. is that true? and than i have a magnetic mount for my cb and my garmin. can i run both at the same time or is this a bad idea?

no issues with a CB Radio. It was mostly Marine radios that was the issue.

No problem, The issues are mostly gone with the vhf as well. It mostly affects the early versions of the 220's. In fact most of the VHF damaged 220's that we received weren't from VHF radios but the SMA connector twisting and breaking the little wire.
