Garmin/tritrotronic

I lost my transmitter to my tri Tronics classic 70 6 dog system and so I borrowed one from my cousin that was Garmin .I was hunting with a guy that has the same Garmin shock system I would say it is just like the classic 70 with a Garmin name on it. well we were on a lion and some pups started chasing deer we could see the dogs they were at .8 and I could not shock them off of the deer .he could not shock his either .I know for sure that my tri-tronics system would have shocked them it is the classic 70 and I have shocked the dogs up to one and a half miles away with it.any of you have this problem with the Garmin Tri Tronics? I am not impressed I cannot wait to get my new transmitter so that I don't have these issues anymore.
