Bozo Lives On

Bozo just keeps getting closer and closer. I have been trying to get a litter of pups off my Henryetta (Penny) bitch for a few years now and the closest I came was last year and she had one pup and it died. Well I got home tonight and she has 3 pups so far 2 males and 1 male. Penny is the closest living dog to Bozo and she carries his name twice on a three gen pedigree.
Penny has turned out to be a very nice Bear dog since I got her and she does a bang up job on lions and bobcats too las long as the snow isn't to deep. She doesn't like the the deep snow. She will run a dry ground lion and does a nice job.
Penny is 10 this year so I feel very lucky to get any.
I bred her to Deuce and he has been run mostly on bear and is a very nice bear dog. Started running him on cats last year and had no problem.
None of these pups are for sale. I just wanted to share the ped and photos with you.

For those of us that don't know, is having Bozo in a pedigree a good thing? I know nothing about him and was just wonderng,...was he a great dog or great producer or both??These pups will have Bozo twice in the 4th generation. I wouldn't think that they would have too much influence passed on from old Bozo. I don't know how often he appears further back in the pedigree, but from what I see it doesn't look like it is bred very closely to Bozo.

Congrats on the pups. Having 4 at 10 years old is a nice bonus.

I have had her bred every heat for almost 3 years now and this is the first live litter. I had gave up on her but my Buddy talked me into breeding her to Deuce. I will breed her one more time and breed her to Buster which will put Bozo one more time in a 4th

There's a lot more Bozo breeding there than most people realize

People would be taken agast if they knew about the time and effort that was spent to bring that blood this far west and keeping that line going before it was completely gone

That next litter you may even be able to trail sabertooth cats with I don't think it would be outa the question lol

Paco, what traits are you looking for? Bozo was a reproducer, no doubt about it.

Some of the dogs listed on your peds did lots of winning in the hunts by hunting hard and deep, alone, and not opening much on track. Not what you would call cold trailers

If you want cold trailers you might like the Stylish Coma dogs. Stylish Coma was out of Flatrock Coma (Bozo grandson) and Stylish Dolly (daughter of Bozo). I hunted with a lot of his pups, there were good and not so good, but they were track dogs. Big LOUD bawl mouths and hard classy tree dogs also.

Seen one out of Stylish Coma that was one of the best hounds I have been in the woods with, for what I like in a hound anyway.

Chad Medlock and Daren Wiseman owned Coma when he was older and have a good young dog out of him now called Legend. Same type of hound.

Thanks guys, They may just be a bunch of polickers on a peice of paper and if that is the case they will be culled and that is why they are not for sale. They will be tried and tested here first and if they turn out a couple may become availible.
It is fun to get this older blood and try as hard as possible to keep it up close, on proven dogs and proven reproducers,even though some don't find it impressive.
