new to curs

Postby Conejos » Fri Oct 16, 2009 4:24 pm

Hey guys I got some new pups by accident. My brother inlaws catahoula cattle dog bred my plott hound. They sure look like some good pups and I'm gonna try to train them for cats and bear. What differences do you think I will notice between them and my hounds when it comes to training and running bobcat, lion, and bear?

I had a 1/2 walker 1/2 catahoula I got from Sewell Goodwin when he was up at 6K6 north of Morenci Az. He was a good bear dog, not so good on cats unless started by another dog just not cold nosed enough. He was a lot smarter than a hound. Easy to handle.

Never argue with an idiot! They will drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience!
