Very nice looking dogs. Will you be breeding one of your females soon, I'd like
to speak for a female.
Do they have any Louie Peck's blood in them?

Shaft was Amos's sire it was Shaft that had the 1/16 Plott in him ,It was never added again so its pretty watered down now. Shaft was a cur dog that Bob Fogel got from West York, And he crossed him into his line of dogs. Dick and Louie were both good men, But I never had a desire to bred to or own any of their dogs. I did have 3 Boone Shockly dogs back in the 90's.

Jeff these are awesome looking dogs. Good size and confirmation, coloring looks good, solid work man. What's there nose like? You hunt the snow much and what do you hunt with umm? Sorry, I'm being nosie, its just that I was kinda thinking about trying the same thing kind of with some mountain cur / running x treeing hound. Not that I know the first thing about breeding dogs but I guess a fella has to start some where.

Thanks Tanner

Tanner, The best was to describe their nose would be to call it a nose of opportunity. I hunt with a few different guys most run Treeing Running dog x's . Never have any of them ever caught game in front of mine. Have had my dog go for 10-15min. then come back , And then waist the next 2hrs. waiting on the others to figure out their dogs aren't going to get it going. They just seems to know if the track will go or not. Doug has one in Canada that he runs cat in the snow with and a buddy in Idaho has a litter mate to Doug's that he only runs cat with in the snow. But as for me 99% of my hunting is done on bare or dry ground year around. I have had MT. Curs before they can flat set a track on fire and if you get something out of the Fry blood it will have a better nose. Tell you what when you get one all mixed up out of the right blood I'll trade you a pup for a pup.I have always wanted to try one bred like that , but just to deep into this line to spend the time getting the right blood to pull it off

I hunt mine on Bobcat, Grey fox , Lion & Bear

Haha, hahaha, well I sure hope you're a very patient man. It most likly be quite awhile before I have a puppy worth having let alone trading. Thats very nice of you and I will jump at the chance when it arises, you have deal mister. I've heard good things about Mr Fry and his line. Sounds like he might have a few litters on the way here pretty soon. Im like you and don't hunt in the snow much but I do hunt all year long. So I like the way you describe that nose on your dogs. Sounds like you have a real good line. Well good hunting mister and thanks answering my pesky questions. Oh, I do hope to be a bobcat dog owner some day but I used to hunt a lot of coon and a few lions and bobs here and there. But I had to take a break for a bit. Anyhow, thanks Tanner.

Wasn't planning on it but added another member to the Gang. My buddy thought I needed another one. That make two all black dogs now, Might have to paint them white so I can see them at night so I can keep hunting at night (Lol)

Good looking pup, Jeff. I crossed Oscar to his daughter this year and have 5 that are 1 month old today. they should be world beaters. I hope to get some potlickers that stay the course with Oscar from truck to tree on the hardest, meanest, fastest running bear.

I know what you mean about the dogs knowing what track will be able to move. Uncanny ability.

Thanks Doug, Oscar must of got his daddy's wheels. I've got a 2yrs old here that is just like Oscar's sire, 5 days in a row is the most I have ever hunted him with out a day or two off and that's road hunting not rigging. The 6ths day he is the only one jumping and barking at the kennel gate in the morning when I go out. Hard to find one like that even harder to beat. Good luck with them pups and be sure to let us know how they turn out.

What?!?

Wow.

More than once?

How does she do that? Does she sneak and wait?

I hope you get a chance to see her do that.

I am sure it has happened, but I have never seen it.

Have you had other dogs that did that?

I need that picture for the next discussion on "run to catch". ...here let me show you what run to catch looks like. Haha
