first cur

I just got a 14 mo. cur he has been on a couple of bear and a few coons. Very smart dog but this is the first cur I've ever owned, (I've always had hounds) I'd like to continue to bear hunt him as well as cats. What can I expect from the cur breed as apposed to hounds.

i hunt both curs and hounds. i think the curs are esaer to handle and train. they will run just like a hound and do the same thing as a hound. they will have just as cold nose and be able to trail and open on track i u have dogs that will open. the cur has a lot of drive and heart as i see it. i have hunted stephens curs and lep. curs.
