Resizing Images
What is the best way to resize images on this forums image host? My pics on file are too large.

Re: Resizing Images
I thought this site sized them automatically. If that doesn't work you can upload them to a photobucket.com account and then resize and post the IMG code from the site.
Good luck, Dan

Re: Resizing Images
I have a limit as to the size of file.. I don't want to clutter up the server with Huge Files..
I recomend installing a program like this on your computer, and it will easily create files that are not Huge.
http://www.vso-software.fr/products/ima ... esizer.php
Once you install this program on your computer, All You need to do is
#1 Right click you mouse on the image you want to upload
#2 Select the VSO Resizer (click Continue)
#3 select what size you want to save it as (profile). I recomend 640X480
#4 Click OK
Then it will automatically create a new file that will work and will upload faster also.. .

Re: Resizing Images
How many kbites does my pic need to be to pop up full size@ 640x480? I resized them to 640x480 but they pop up on my posts the size of an avitar. most of my pics download to my computor from my camera between 1 and 2 mega bites. I have the vso software, but these pics start out so big that I can't even get them to 6.84 kbs for an avitar. about the smallest I have got them so far is 40kbs.

Re: Resizing Images
Houndnem,
I don't know, I normally just resize to desktop resolution and like to see the images under 100-200Kb.
I don't know why your messing with 7Kb stuff way to small.
Just try the desktop resolution and let it pick the size.

Re: Resizing Images
Ive been using this VSO software for several years. One very nice thing about it is that you can open your photo files and choose a whole bunch of photos and resize them at the same time instead of resizeing one photo at a time. It's very fast. It dds another photo back to the same file as the original photo but of smaller size.
