we need to pass legislation for legislation....pretty sad when a house bill can have more than 2/3 majority in the house and not even be voted on in the state senate, it should not matter what party controls the state senate....once a bill has 2/3 in the house it needs a mandated vote to be rejected by the senate(my opinion).....not just handed over to the natural resource committee chair to run out the clock, any thing less is a dictatorship....we could accept defeat with a majority vote even if we are out numbered, at least this is my definition of democracy....you think if the shoe was on the other foot the liberal party would allow this to go with out a fight? how about two separate ballot issues like measure 18? that technically was illegal too....but you can't fight back when it pertains to liberalism....these people planned this way back....just like this legislation becoming a measure 11 crimes bill? should only need 51%....law suits need to happen....

how can h.b. 2337 be dead? with oar 496.012 wildlife policy....(law) it is the policy of the state of oregon that wildlife shall be managed to prevent serious depletion of any indigenous species to provide the optimum recreational and aesthetic benefits for present and future generations of the citizens of the state in furtherance of this policy, the state fish and wildlife commission shall represent the public interest of the state of oregon and implement the following coequal goals of wildlife management.......
(1) to maintain all species at optimum levels

here is the problem folks.....mule deer gone, blacktail deer going fast, porcupine gone, skunks going fast, elk both rocky mountain and Roosevelt.....in trouble....
some one please define "optimum" levels so i can understand the word.

(2) to develop and manage the lands and waters of this state in a manner that will enhance the production and public enjoyment of wildlife.

(3)to permit an orderly and equitable utilization of available wildlife.

(4) to develop and maintain public access to the lands and waters of the state and the wildlife resources thereon.

(5) to regulate wildlife populations and the public enjoyment of wildlife in a manner that is comparable with primary uses of the lands and waters of the state.

(6)to provide optimum recreational benefits.

(7)to make decisions that affect wildlife resources of the state for the benefit of the wildlife resources and to make decisions that allow for the best social, economic and recreational utilization of wildlife resources by all user groups.

some one please define "all user groups"....... sport hound hunters.....user group?

2007.....h.b. 2971 was implemented, signed into law....this bill allowed odfw to use sport hunters as agents of the state to assist in removal of over populated cougars.....i and several other hound hunters filled out applications to volunteer to assist the state of oregon, all passing 100% of the state mandated requirement including an extensive criminal history back ground check and complete with osp...FINGER PRINTS, being met with resistance by Nancy Taylor in Corvallis who is a "bear specialist for odfw" stated.....the training is expensive......i said, we will pay for our own training so the state suffers no losses..........one of the simple arguments on behalf of hsus in Salem under testimony.....WHY DOES THE STATE NEED ANOTHER COUGAR PROGRAM WHEN IT HAS BEEN USING SPORT HOUND HUNTERS SINCE 2007?

well that is a damn good question.....one radical extremist group based in Williams oregon, claims for black bear and the lacking of odfw's implementation of a black bear management plan as early as 2000.....also blaming us sport hunters for stressing Oregon's black bear population...(b.s. again)..why didn't odfw implement this management plan? because it doesn't know how or care...lets examine odfw's solution to this claim and how it resolved this problem.....THEY AMMENDED IT, AND DROPPED IT.....NOW.... OUT OF SIGHT, IS OUT OF MIND....but also stated, it is now the state's biggest priority....b.s....it is way easier to not address the issues and call usda when problems arise....this is where i come in.....i just completed my 22 private sector season doing black bear removals under what odfw calls "administrative" clueless into management of all our resources....odfw doesn't take weather and natural effects, to much hunting, to little hunting, or any other trends to wildlife into account...it just keeps doing the same thing....

i volunteer with helping in my location, why do i voice my opinion instead of keeping my little slice of paradise to myself like.....MANY OTHER PEOPLE ON HERE.....BECAUSE IT IS WRONG, THATS WHY....this is not for me to do....it is for all tag purchasing citizens to be involved in first and foremost.....but here is the kicker.....one contractor in the state hires his crew to do these removals and makes a ton of money killing the heck out of what could be another responsible treed bear and harvested responsibly by an ethical sport hound hunter...the state has many hired guns to replace sport hunting.....I'm sick and tired of the nonsense and WILL DEDICATE THE TIME AND EFFORT TO CHANGE THIS!!!!WHAT IS STANDING IN THE WAY OF THE OREGON GAME COMMISSION?......THE OREGON GAME COMMISSION....time to file a law suit......
