Went on the website and only seen 1 weekend of UKC coonhunting. Looks like someone needs to step up and get more Friday and Saturday night hunts. This is our schedule and hope to see some of you come over to Pomeroy this year.

Cost of a 3 day license is $60.00 and a year license is $180.00. I have tried to get WA to go along with the field trial permit and out of state folks not having to pay this fee but there hard headed and so is our club and we will continue to fight this ever chance we can.

So to hunt in a Nite Hunt in WA one must have a license?

Yes, we have fought this with district 1 over in Spokane. There narrow minded when it comes to the money it would generate for the small town like Pomeroy...Hotels, food, gas ect.
Like all other states except Idaho, a field trial permit is purchased before each event and out of staters don't need a hunting license.

This still isn't clear, Dee. You are saying that the club has to buy the permit and hunters attending the nite hunts do not have to buy anything in order to participate?

Dee, this should be posted under the Washington heading as it is a plug for your club and a swat at MPCH. You and Joseph have directed your sour grapes about the WSCA toward the wrong club.

This pettiness is a big reason organised hound hunting is dying out here.

How are ya'll doing with getting a BSJ at your club? Not once did I see anyone apprenticing last year or the year before.

Libby what I'm saying is we have to get a field trial permit and folks from out of state DO have to purchase a small game hunting license.
I also don't understand your other comments as I have always came to 1 or 2 hunts a year in Oregon and have only seen 1 person from the Oregon club in Pomeroy.
I just find it hard to believe the UKC is letting you have 1 UKC event and it being a World Qualifier...it's not a RQE either. Western states can only have Mini slams which is what was held last year, not a RQE.

Sorry about the noise, Dee, I call them as I see them. Oh ya, I've competed in nite hunts at MPHC since the 1990's and they are a great club. Jerry Ray is a class act. Unlike you. You only started your club in Pomeroy for your own personal gain, trying to put titles on your dogs.
I've also hunted with Blitz (at an event) and my neighbor this summer hunted a dog of yours for bear so if you want to hear my "noise" about stuff in my clue range, keep it up!!! (Hint; it's real bad stuff). You should quit while you're behind. Remember, you started this.

Really don't care what you think of my dogs and know what I have. Been coonhunting a long time and know what a coondawg is and Blitz was a coondawg. Sold him last year to a breeder in Mo and probably should have kept him but money does talk.

hope you can make it to one of marys peaks night hunts this year I haven't seen you at a marys peak night hunt in 3 to 4 yrs. we have a hunt feb 15th ukc . and antoher 2 ukc night hunts feb 28th and march 1st. hope to see you there ..

Anyone who knows me knows that I don't know much about field trials, So I really don't know what is going on here, (and honestly I don't really care to learn about it, so please don't bother trying to explain it to me.. )

I've moved this to Washington since it seams like it's a Washington event.
