Here is the male pup I kept. His name is Hoss. He is 5 months old and stands 25" tall and has 27" ears. He has a big, long, booming, bawl mouth.
From what he is showing so far, he has every bit of the extra cold nose I was planning for. Right here shortly, when he gets a little more leg, I will start him on wildgame.

LT,
"big, long, booming, bawl mouth".....

I have that image burnt in my mind......That has to be an awesome voice, and he's still just a pup !!!!

It's long, drawn out and wavery...almost wolflike. Makes your hair stand up.
His mom Lilly is the same way.

Glad to hear.. You'll have to put up some pics for us when they get a little older. Do you think they're going to be blue or lean more towards the GS color-wise?

Tim, them some houndy lookin pups there.....my dogs would trip on their ears if they were that long. Keep us posted on their progress and as many pics as you can post without the computer shutting down on ya. I'd rather look at pics then hear about all the drama on this site.

Thanks, jason
I'm thankful for being dumb and slow, then i don't have to over think this stuff.

Well then, here are some pics of the two pups I kept. From a recent training mission. They are 8 months in these pics. The male is Hoss and the female is Poppy. It was 80-85 degrees that day and they found two decrepidly ancient tracks.
