Re: Idaho Bears
I didnt Know wether any bears would be out up here yet, we have had a real late winter. I took my older dog "Howie" and my two pups "Jake" and "Elwood" out this morning. We had several strikes, down lower were there is no snow, we couldnt turn out on them because season for hounds doesnt start here till next Sunday, we had a couple of really hot strikes. They are out.
Here is my pup "Jake" and "Howie", striking a bear this morning. I think Jake is gone to be one heck of a dog, he has a super nose and already strikes really good.
Here is a couple of "Elwood" and "Howie", striking on a different bear today. Elwood is also going to be a good dog, he is one of my fastest hounds and isnt even a year old yet, He also is pretty good at striking.

Re: Idaho Bears
What part of the state are you in? I can hardley drive anywhere close to where I hunt in a pickup!
Re: Idaho Bears
I know I'm getting ancy. There is still a heck of a lot of snow. I'm giving it 3 more weeks, then getting the horse out. We'll at least get the chance to ride some lower country then perhaps have the chance to get a good race going.

LOL, Ol' guy. I'm assuming you are Dennis. You're not young friend, but a long ways from old. Thanks for the info. My horse is fat, I am going to start gettin her in shape this weekend. A few weeks before I hunt. My grandpa ain't around anymore to make me tread snow. God bless him. We have a crap load of snow up here still, so I am trying to be patient.
If this isn't Dennis, thank you as well.
