Breed Discussion

Postby HOGMAN » Wed Nov 04, 2015 2:25 pm

Is the Walker breed the fastest running line of dogs? I have heard this is true, that they will be first to cross the road, cause its bred in them betterthan others and they run with their nose up so that makes them faster? I am running redbones and plots, curs for hog hunting and people say walkers will be faster than my dogs because they run nose up. Please give me some advice and knowledge and experience.. I figured some of the bear hunters would know, because walkers have a lot of grit, which I would think you would need to put a bear in a tree... Thanks for yalls expertise..

The breed known for grit is plotts . but again that don't mean they all are the grittier breed and again Its how they are bred . I have seen grit in all breeds.

Just my opinion but some peoples fast is slow to the other I have seen walkers come last at road crossing and seen them first there is good in every breed not just one
