Re: a hog hunt
Here's what I should have posted. "Hog wanted for a group of guys from Washington. We will be located at the Hampton inn that's in Okeechobee. We will be there until sunday. We've been in town since monday and talked to a few guys who have promised to show us some dog work and none have came through with their word. After being slightly irritated at the gestures and comments from one guy about my dogs only being tree dogs and not being worth a shit as bay dogs I'm here to say I'm ready to see a hog. Been in that argument plenty of times before so I'm not going there. Either way I'd admit my dogs aren't specialized in baying or treeing but they have put plenty of smiles on my face and plenty of friends faces. If I were to promise a guy that my dogs could show him some game I dang sure would try my ass off. Whether it took a day or a week it would get done. Is there anybody nearby who can show us how hog hunts go? We've only got a few days left. My name is Tyler my number is 5093227673 Thanks!"
I apologize for the shitty abbreviated post. I was only attempting to keep it short since I was using my phone and my patients is short with long texts on it. I'll admit I looked and sounded like a full blooded pric. But I basically was just trying to get a reaction that favored me lol.
Anyway, we were able to make it out for an evening. Dogs started trailing to an area where we could here dogs that sounded caught so he pulled the dogs and we went in.
I'll be back in florida next month around the 20th. Be there for three days I think. In Wellington this time. If anyone has the time I'd appreciate the arrangments to see a hunt. Thanks

Re: a hog hunt
You should have set it up in advance. There are people who would take you on a pay hunt but most want to use their dogs. Spots to hunt are hard to come by and expensive in okeechobee. Leases go for big money and anyone who owns property probably has cows and other livestock on there and don't want untrained dogs catching their 4000 dollar prize bull. Also places to hunt are tight there most people use short range cur dogs so they don't get on neighbors property and catch his 4000 dollar bull. You can go home they have to stay and either pay or fight. Show up without dogs and say you want to see some good dogs work and will pay for it you'll be picked up within the hour
