Who ever asked about hounds on hogs -my hounds and my thoughts. Opinions differ. [emoji203][emoji190]

If you have hounds that will run the hair off one and stick with it to get it stopped you will not have too bad of luck in hounds. Now there are hounds that run hogs and some that are hog hounds and theirs a fine line. Some like to push the track and some know how to put the brakes on one. I personally chose hounds as my dogs to load when I hog hunt- I could have hunted curs just not my style. I will not say I catch every one we catch a fair number. But I will say this the bay and the running of the hog is good to listen too. And it seems to me that hounds are easier to train than cur dogs. Not saying --I don't like curs and that hounds are the best. But a good dog is a good dog. And I choose hounds as my style of hunting below is pictured a few of my hounds.

Thanks man. I appreciate it. Trying to get a few nice pups. I got some finished and well started one. Those are my hounds. All of those will run their own hogs and bay it. Except the one I'm showing on the concrete. Only 7 months old.

I don't care what I own to be honest as long as it can catch a hog here's my yella dog. He ran this hog 2 miles this morning with young plott puppy. She was open he is always silent. He thinks he's a hound.

Caught another nice one that evening with another hound and my cur. Weighted 235 gutted. He didn't look it. Tallest hog I've ever seen. He was long legged. Not thick.
