Too old?

Postby Doghunter18 » Sun Mar 16, 2014 9:41 pm

I have a walker/lab mix that I got from a buddy. Never thought about training her so I had her fixed so my parents would let my brother have her. Now he wants to train her to hunt deer.and I was wondering if at 1.5 yrs old she is "untrainable"? She is a very smart dog and when we run the hounds near the house she goes ballistic trying to get to them.

A year an a half is not too young to train a dog to do anything that's for sure

Never too old. If they have the heart and desire, any age is fine to train them, I have found.
