That's good to hear, was curious how the dog houses inside held up after some use. The chewers could have hell with it. I am considering of doing something similar. Did you ever put gravel in the pens or leave it as dirt?

I did put mesh and gravel down in the pens. I have had 12 dogs in it since I built it. I have one dog box that was getting chewed a little from pups so I lined some of the edges of the wood with aluminum angle and no more problems. I also built some lay out shelves so they can lay outside.

Looks really good. Need to hire you out for some sub contracting! Im excited to build myself a kennel so I don't have anymore chains... hate the muddy mess.

Hey catdogs,

Nice job!

Did you build your kennel so you could move it, noticed it was up on cinder blocks?
Any reason for the wood floor, I was thinking of pouring a slab to sit mine on, maybe extend the slab out a few feet into the runs, gravel the remainder.

Any thoughts on this. I am mostly concerned with cold wet conditions here in Colorado.
Thanks!

It is movable and I just did it that way because I bought the shed as a used storage shed and it already had the wood floor in it. I think a slab of concrete would be fine to set it on, but not a concret floot. It would be nice to have the slab a couple feet outside the shed all the way around.

I wouldn't mind living in that doghouse! Just put a few blankets on that charging shelf, and add a hotplate for cooking!
Just curious about the high window when seen from the outside. Is that just the way it came or is their a sleeping loft or the like up there?

That high window was in the shed already when I got it.

Have had a lot of PM's about the size of the inside dog houses. They are 4' wide x 32" x 32". Each is made to accommodate 2 big dogs. The lay space (floor space in each) is about 2' x 4' when you figure in the width of the sewer pipe that I used for water that is inside each stall.

Do the dogs ever poop in their water pipe?
