Any ideas

Postby toerpe17 » Fri Apr 20, 2018 2:43 am

Season is over here and Ime getting ready to go back to work, but during the time between now and when season starts back next winter ide like to get some pups on the ground so they are weaned before season starts so my females don't miss out on the good times I've found a dandy male to breed to but none of my females are coming in does and one know of a way to get a female to come in to heat?

My vet is a houndsman, and I was in the same predicament as you awhile back. He gave my female the shot twice and it never enduced her in to heat, he told me that it rarely works, and that certain females it will never work on. The shots were cheap so you might as well give it a try:)

Do you know anyone else with hounds that has a female in heat? It sometimes works to kennel one that isn't in heat with one that is for a few days. Sometimes the other will come into heat also.
