Utah Federation of Houndsmen will again start hosting UKC & PKC nite hunts UKC HTX hunts, Youth Hunts & bench shows starting Jan-Feb 2013.

Houndsmen that don't have registered hounds or have crossbred hounds will be able to compete in the PKC events. Make sure get your PKC membership and PKC hound registration taken care of ahead of time.

Make sure to read up on the rules because UKC and PKC rules vary from one another.

We are looking for guides to guide in the hunts. We want to have at least 6-8 huntng spots per event. We are willing to travel all over Utah to host an event to give everyone the opportunity to compete.

We will have PKC hunts starting in Feb, PKC will allow 2 open hunts (minimum of $30 entry)and 1 Pro-Am hunt (minimum of $70 entry) a month. We could have quite a few PKC huts a year and cover several different regions in Utah. Open 1 nite hunts are usualy during the week and 1hr hunt. Pro Am hunts are 1 nite hunts held on the weekend and 2hr hunt.

Remeber at the PKC hunts, there is a payout on every cast each time unless the cast scratches or comes in as a dead cast.

Greg to set a few things straight for you about the PKC events first memberships and registration can be done right at the events. So no need to have that taken care of beforehand, just show up pay the fees and hunt. If a persons dog is already registered with say ukc and you want the dog to be registered as whatever breed it is just bring a copy of the dogs ukc papers and they will be registered as that breed. Otherwise they will just be registered as crossbred until a copy is sent to pkc. All grade dogs no matter what breed will be registered as crossbred. Second thing you posted that needs clarified is all casts will have a cast winner. Not many "dead casts" in pkc. If cast is dead at the end of regulation time it will go to sudden death.
